January 22nd;SS Californian

The Californian is know as the Titanic mystery ship.

The Californian was the closest ship on the night of the sinking. Earlier before the sinking the ship was shut down due to ice field surrounding them, so the radio was down.

Now when the ship was going down and sending out it's distress rockets the Californian due to an illusion caused Titanic to look like an oil tanker. They had also received mores code lights but due to light refraction it looked like an oil light flickering. Overall it was due to bad luck that the Californian was unable to rescue Titanic's passengers. Although at the time this wasn't known and the captain (Stanley Philip Lord) was ridiculed and was striped of his rank. He lost his ship and was fired, although in present day his name has been cleared.
