Britannic was truly a massive ship. It was a sister ship to Titanic and was 100 feet longer. It was even planned to possibly rename it to Gigantic, but it never got the chance.

In my opinion it met the worst fate of all. Britannic was taken from its work docs before it was even finished. This was due to the outbreak of World War I. The only interior room that was actually finished before it was removed from its berth, (Thomson dry dock) was the pool. It was commissioned as a hospital ship. It was on route to return to Ireland when it had a torpedo shot at it. An on deck gunnery turret opened fire on the torpedo and destroyed it. This was only the beginning. When Britannic was only 1.5 miles away from the Irish coast a second sub came and torpedoed the starboard side.

The captain became alarmed and with shore in site he desired to boost the engines to 150% speed. This greatly sped up the sinking. Although thanks to the Titanic's sinking Britannic had more then enough lifeboats for everyone, they all made it off. The only causalities from the sinking was from a life boat that was chopped by the still fast spinning propellers.

This is the three sister ships.
